Record-breaking year for school wildlife survey
The number of children and teachers taking part in the RSPB's Big Schools' Birdwatch almost doubled this year, making 2009 a record-breaker.Almost 90,000 schoolchildren and teachers from over 2,000 schools watched the birds in their school grounds between 19-30 January, inspiring children about the nature outside their classroom windows.
