Day at a wildlife park

Had a family holiday and decided to visit a small wildlife park in Perthshire, was a lovely day, the park was very small but was good for the kids to see the animals. I much prefer to take photos in the natural enviroment but this was good practise for me when i first started taking photos.

Couple of photos i took.

Some good photos there steven, i would agree they are good for practise with the camera but the real thing is much more challenging and fulfilling in my personal opinion.

Welcome to the forum Deano, i would agree it is much more enjoyable out in the wild but i never give up the chance of some practise.

I do fancy going to a wildlife park, not really been to one since i was a kid. Would love to go on a safari sometime i think that would be great.

Yeah a safari would be great, think i will have to stick to UK wildlife parks for now. I see you can go on a lot of UK based wildlife holidays.

I was thinking about planing to go to a few wildlife parks and nature reserves as the idea of going on safari is great but i don't really have the gear i would want to take.

Yeah i feel the same if i went on safari i would much prefer to get a higher end camera and maybe a 800mm lens which are well out of my budget.

A safari holdiay does not nice but as most have said you would really want the best of equipment before you went.

With the prices of flights its not that expensive anymore, i understand what a lot of yous are saying about taking the best gear but at the end of the day you can only take what you can afford.

The idea of a safari scares me, i get frightened of big dogs let along big cats. :oops:
