Has anyone got a photography harness?

I have been looking about for somting lightweight with a lot of access pockets and i keep finding photography vests. After a while of searching i seen this, it looks what im looking for, i don't really want to be carrying a backpack with that much stuff just a few spare batteries/memory cards and maybe my spare camera. Has anyone tried this harness before?

Never used it Chuck, not sure if its my fine i think i would prefer to have a jacket with pockets i could access. Looking at it, i think i would give you a lot of freedom to move about in which is a good thing.

Re: Has anyone got a photography harness?

Now that looks interesting to me, i was looking at the adventure backpack. If that would hold all of my accessories and be able to attach my camera to that to free up my arms i would be interested in that. How much are they selling for, everything photography related seems to be expensive imho.

Re: Has anyone got a photography harness?

Hmm just found it for £31.71 that does not seem to be too expensive, anyone know what the quality is like?

Re: Has anyone got a photography harness?

Hmm is there anyway your camera could clip onto this instead of having it bouncing of your chest/stomach?

Have you tried using 2 lightweight carabiners to anchor the camers straps to a backpack / belt. This worked for me on a rcent trip to Nepal

Hi lads, if a camera is left to dangle then nothing will stop it bouncing about, if the camera is left to bounce then it's open to damage if it's left to rub against your clothing then it becomes a dust magnet, you open it to change a lens and it sucks in the dust,I'm not sure that new camera bodies do become charged with static but it's a thought, if your camera is not in use then put it in a camera pouch on a belt about your waist, end of bounce, hope this comment is of some use, all the best bryan.

The vest photo looks like a Lowepro S&F Vest Harness which must be used in conjunction with the S&F Deluxe Waistbelt.

It has built in inner mesh pockets and 10 attachment loops which allows you to customise the types of pouches you want to use for a particular outing.

The pouches are connected to the attachment loops using the SlipLock system.

This vest gives you a very versatile base for adapting to whatever your photoshoot is going to be, unlike some photographer's vests which just have a load of pockets, some of which may not be big enough.
