Sky light or Uv

Which do you prefer ?Skylight or uv,i always fit a filter on my lenses purley for protection,but is a uv better than a skylight?

I used to have a few UV filters for my lenses but not bothered of late but i do fancy getting Polarizer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photogr...lter#Polarizer
