Camo netting

I have just got some pigeon netting from the shop to use when in my garden shed for photographing near my feeding station.

I have it hung in the doorway of the shed. What would be the best (recommended) way of cutting the required holes for my lens and better beamer to function correctly.

Appreciated.

Sorry no. Just have it hung filling the door-frame, much like a hanging bead curtain with my tripod behind it. As there is no real weight in the netting I'm hoping that just cutting where the lens and (when needed) the better beamer are positioned that the extra hanging of the net should suffice if I move the camera +lens up or down a bit.

Just ensure as you said that if you move the camera up and down and round you will not get snagged and pull it down. I would say just use a stanley knife to cut holes big enough, what you can also do is any spare netting, wrap it around your lens.

Like below but you could cut it to size and then tie it around so it does not come off.

Have cut my hole(s). Looks pretty good. See attachment 'camonet'

Have also included quick shot of House Sparrow on branch attached to my feeding station. One nit though, will have to move branch upwards to conceal top of back fence. See attachment 'House Sparrow1'

As most of my work is carried out in the wild I prefer the lightwieght printed mesh which folds up realy small and easily fits in my camera bag. If I am setting up a perch with a distracting background I use the mesh behind as a backdrop, Trying to keep it far enough behind perch for nice diffused background.
