Two Man Camo Chair Hide

I recently purchase a two man chair hide to be used for me and my father to get better photos of our garden visitors. It was a birthday present for my dad well we will be both using it. ;)

I picked the two man chair hide over the other hides due it having chairs (big bonus than having to carry chairs in and out the house, my mum does not appricate that very much) and due to it folding into a carry bag making it portable to go from my house to my fathers etc.

On delivery i took the hide out to inspect it to make sure nothing was missing, did not really want to had my dad 1/2 a present, everything was there and noticed there is a pouch on the carry bag for ground pegs.

Well my father had a good birthday getting all of the usual presents, a few new pairs of Y fronts, razors, horrible aftershave you know the normal presents that all men seem to get time and time again. Well we got to mine and everyone was a bit confused at first to what it was, so i told him to go out to the garden and open it up. There was no assembly required, all you have to do was open the chairs out and then pull the back of the hide up over the chair which automatically erects the hide. He was amazed how easy it was to assemble and he was happly supprised at the present. We did not really want to ruin the party by being anti-social and sitting outside but i will post our comments tommorow. (ps i was left to put it back in the bag, it's a bit tricky at first   )

Re: Two Man Camo Chair Hide

Hi sorry for the late reply been a bit busy so not been able to post. We tested the hide out on sunday as saturday was just constant heavy rain and the chance of getting some good photos was none existant. We found that the getting into the hide was a bit tricky but once in i found it comfortable and not claustrophobic at all. There is enough room for me to get my tripod in and my camera bag under the seat. We opted to use the large window opening at the front instead of the two smaller windows, this gave use a wider viewing angle.

We setup our hide a few meters away from our feeding stations and did not have to wait long to see some garden birds. My father had a good idea, he suggested we setup a bird table but then put branches on the sides as that would help me with my photography as i would then crop out the table. Not sure if anyone has done this and to what effect but i will let you's know how i get on.

My father was well impressed with the hide and so am i, im not the smallest of people and found the hide large enough to accommodate me and my father very well. We have pegged down the hide in the garden so our wildlife gets used to the hide being there.

We spent a good few hours sitting back and relaxing and was very nice to spend some time with my father, money well spent.

Yes they are a good idea if you want to leave them up in a fixed location in the garden you can peg them down, i think this could be a better option if your planning on using them in your garden for mostly as your local garden birds will then get used to the hide being there. But they are portable so you can take them wherever you want.

Re: Two Man Camo Chair Hide

Hmm these look interesting i wonder if my wife would mind me putting one up in the garden as see is always moaning at me for having the widnow open and letting the cold in. I think i would be looking at a one man as i can't see my wife wanting to sit in the garden with me, she gets bored after 5mins of doing anything... shh don't tell her.

Re: Two Man Camo Chair Hide

This concept sounds great, can anyone tell me the size of it folded up, i.e. the size and how heavy it is as we would most likely use it on a nature reserve as theres not much wildlife in my tiny concrete garden :(
Any pictures of it folded up would be good ;)
