Cheers for the photos and the advice, pretty well makes me decide that the 2 man is just the job. From the weight point of view could weight be saved in the specification by using aluminium poles and chair frame?

Going back to a point I raised earlier in the thread, I have put a couple of pics onto the gallery to show what I meant about the rear window being clearly visible through the front window even with the mesh screen up on the front. One of the pics has the tripod and lens in it so that you can see what I was saying about a silhoutte being easily visible. The pics were taken from a low level to simulate what a potential subject would see.

If the current design doesn't have a material screen like the side and front windows do then I think the design team should seriously consider adding one.

If the current design does have a material screen then mine is faulty
Looks like all the Two man chair hides are like this, this is somthing we will have to consider changing in the future, the initial thought was to let more light in but i can see what you are saying about the silloeute.

I think making the rear window the same as the all the others that would be better. If you want to let light in it would be better to drop one or more of the side panels

Hope this is not a daft question, me and the wife are thinking of buying one of these 2 man hides, would it take two tripods?

Hi Catwhisker

Not a silly question at all, the two man hide has a double chair to accommodate two people, howerver we are finding people that are buying the two man are putting their camera gear on the other chair. It depends on what equipment you use and what you take out with you on a regular basis, ie some people just the camera, tripod and food some people everything including the sink :-). If you are worried about space the hub based hides might be a better option for you Stealth Gear Photography Hides | Stealth Gear Wildlife Photography Hides

Thanks for the reply Steven, I will have a word with the other half and see what she thinks, we would be using two tripods fitted with Nikon's (D80 & D300) and Sigma 500mm telephotos. Mind you, she does like to bring a healthy stack of sandwiches

Neither of us is very tall and the Mrs is quite petite, so I am hoping the two man hide will do the trick, but your suggestion is worth looking into

What size hide?

Hello Ron,

If you intend using two tripods and bigish lenses, I would personally go for the 360. There is the facility to put your chairs where you want them, and easily set up with the two of you having plenty of space to move about with relative ease. Like any place you might live - you expand into the space you have available!

Thanks David, you are right about expanding, you think you have enough room and then along comes a new nice shiny bit of kit I've lost count of how many camera bags I have bought over the years, its looking like the 360 is the way to go. Besides, it will give me more excuse to buy that next essential bit of kit.
