Your thoughts on bring wolves back

There has been much discussion recently of bringing wild wolves back into the Scottish Highlands. The wild animals that the Alladale Wilderness Reserve is trying to bring to the Scottish Highlands were all once native to the Highlands and he wants them reintroduced.

I think it is a good idea but i can see why people would be against it as well. It all comes down to if its going to be a reserve with fences to stop the wild animals going onto other peoples land or if its going to be open to let the animals truly live wild. As i live in the Highlands myself i can understand why people would be conserned and i think it does really have to have a lot of thought.

One of the main reasons would be to control the number of red deer in the highlands which has gone out of control.

I do not agree on letting the wolves run free to kill deer. Just let estates keep numbers of deer down which would help employment of stalkers.

Yeah it would be a big step if they were to bring wolves back and it all depends if they were to be fenced in or not. The sea eagles are causing a lot of issues with the local farmers here and i can imagine the mention of the word WOLF would not go down well.
