I find myself a lot using photoshop from raw to increase the sharpness of a lot of my images, do any one use find yourself doing the same?

I used Lobol's image as an example you can see from the two images attached the first is the original and the second is with an increase in sharpness.

K_Pugh is on a distinguished road
Looks good, nice subtle sharpening. I've never really used the sharpen slide with RAW files, I might give it a try to see what results i can get with it. It's always better to do as much as you can in RAW in the first place as you know.

I'll give it a go. :)

HI Steven,
I sometimes use the sharpening tool in raw,but mainly use high pass filter, set at about 1-3 ,depending on what's needed.I find that most bird shots need a bit of help.

Yeah i find most bird shots and most animals could do with a bit of sharpening, i have seen the high pass filter but tend to do most of the editing in raw then make any other changes to the psd/jpeg file.
