Guess what just got delivered today.

Wont be able to use the tripod to the weekend, may not even get the chance this weekend. First thoughts i put the 400mm on the 5D and quickly connected to the tirpod, the tripod feels so much better than my previous Velbon Sherpa which i picked up for £10 and so much lighter. Fist thoughts are.

Its a manfrotto 322rc2 action grip ball head. Will take a bit of getting used to but it feels so much better, i can turn the head without any wobble the other tripod i had to re position it as it wobbled if not locked.

Chears Bryan

This is not mine but you can see it well

Well bit disappointed about the lack of use outdoors the tripod has had, however its is coming in very very handy for product photography. The tripod is great as it can go verticle and horizontal for getting close up inside the light cube.

This is not my tripod but its similar, i will get my own images once i get it out.

The head itself will only hold up to 5kg but i think that will be fine for me for a while and i like the idea of being able to one handed control the camera with shooting. Any thoughts on a alternative?

170.0 black 1.70 11.5 54.5 135.5 8.00

The 4-section 055CXPRO4 combines the best performances of the 055 carbon family with lower dimensions. This tripod is compact and light, with the patented Q90˚ system for quick vertical-horizontal movements. The legs adjustable at four different angles and an integrated levelling bubble is placed on the top plate.

On the recommendation from Doghouse i decided to look for his tripod, but they no longer make that model, the 055cxpro4 is the repalcemet model.
Hi Steven

I too have the same head!! on a Manfrotto 144 and I find it works well with my macro shots because of the infinite number of angles I can set up with this head - would like to get the shutter release that goes with it one day...

Cheers

David

Hi Steve,
I was looking at the electronic version as there is no option for a manual cable release on the pentax DSLR
I have sent a mail off to see if the release is available in pentax fit
Await reply on that..

David
