Hi steven, after seeing the weather forecast we styed in wales and set out for the coast, after the fog had lifted, we spent some time on the river Ogmore, spotted a number of Golden eye, a mediterranean gull, a Goosander one or two Gadwall, and what I believe was a water pipit, Rob was back at the car with the heater on, and boy was I glad of that when I got back, I digress Rob was back at the car so there was no one to confirm my sighting but I'm sure it was a water pipit it would be a first for me. we moved to Cenfig pool and spent some time in the hide I spotted a duck in the reeds, and in my minds eye I tried my best to turn it into a bittern, I think by now the cold was getting to me? but we did spot a number of Yellowhammer on our way back to the car, not a productive day photographicly, but we had a laugh or two, all the best Bryan.

Hi Steven, just had look at glamorgan birders, just to see what was about and a number of their members spotted the water pipit at ogmore, so i'm quite pleased.
