Unhappy Canon 5D fault

Well i went and plugged my Canon 5D into the computer today and noticed its not being recognised from the PC, tried my laptop still not, tried different cable and still no joy.

Went out to take the Ardmair bay photos and when i plugged in the remote shutter it was just taking photos without being pressed. And i checked the button was not pressed down.

I can still use the camera but without a remote release and have to take the memory card out to memory card reader.

Contact Canon via their website yesterday, am sure its under warranty, however i think it runs out at the end of the this month.

Has anyone ever had this issue?

Is that shock damage to the wallet - or is it still under warranty?
