My Canon 5D

Well i could not wait for the 5D Mark II and i doubt i could afford it when it was released. I went and got myself a Canon 5D and honestly am very happy with the camera.

What i found strange at first was the physcial size of the camera compared to my Canon 400D. I went and had a shot of the canon 400d today to compare and the first thing you notice is when you look through the eye piece how small of a viewing area you have compared to the Canon 5D, this is down to the canon 5D being full frame which means you dont get cropping. For more information of full frame check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full-frame_digital_SLR

The camera is pretty heavy to say the least and the battery is nearly double the size of the 400d (a bit exaggerated but its a large battery). The camera has a lot of features and i will go into them more in detail when i have some free time.

One of the smallest of features but for me its a very good feature, the LCD on the top of camera and it has a light button... i can hear you's now big deal it has a light. Honestly i find this to be great, just having the LCD display at the top of the camera means changing settings can be done very quickly and when in a dark enviroment like a hide you can easily see what your ISO and shutter speeds and more.

I plan on getting Canon Wireless Remote Control 100m i have the same for the 400D i find them to be useful for both wildlife photography and taking photos of my family.

I aso plan on getting a battery grip again i had one for the 400D and find it to be very useful for extended battery life and for taking portrait photos.

Once the gallery software is installed i will upload some of my photos, i still need a lot of practise and class myself as a newbie photographer who enjoyes it as a pastime.

sreeja is on a distinguished road
I also have a canon 5d camera. It is so nice with good features. The new report has the camera using a 24MP, 24x36mm CMOS sensor and a new grip making up the magnesium alloy case.It include a maximum light sensitivity ISO setting of 25,600 and a new battery that recognizes the automatic operation of the camera.
