Ordered 50D

I bought a 50D about four weeks ago so just paid for it!! Been getting to know it and the Canon 100-400 is zoom I picked up on fleab. bit of a weight after a compact & scope for digiscoping but doing okay with what shows up when wandering about. The burst mode is good got a Kestrel just launching itself off a post with four shots - pity it was early evening & the light was going. Still its all practise.

Welcome to the forum, its a bit of a difference form a compact to a DSLR. I have the 100-400 which i do like and use it 90% of the time then i use a macro for the rest. What do you think of the 50D?

Emailed the supplier and got a slightly cryptic reply that they are experiencing some delays. Don't mind waiting just like to know how long!

Hmm that means they don't have stock and if they are not telling you a date then you have not due delivery date to themselves.

I could be wrong but i doubt they have a date for delivery.

Order has been processed now but not yet shipped. It's getting closer!

LoL kid waiting for santa to come, don't get me wrong i ordered my flash got a order successful email but nothing since thursday night.

My 100-400mm really came to life when I started using it on a tripod as much as possible. Until the spring really kicks in and we get some good light I'm unlikely to use it hand held.

No getting pretty annoyed about it if I think about it. Anyway there is no rush but I won't be recomending them to anyone or using them again unless they stick in a 16gig memory card to make up to me.
The wife knows and I'm still alive, in fact she was very positive about the purchase. Dropped it into conversation on Valentines day.
