Red Kyte spotted black isle
How typical is this, i was on my way down to Inverness to pick up my kilt for a wedding and just across the bridge on the black isle i seen the lowest red kyte. It was the first time i did not take my camera wth me in ages and it would have been a great shot.
It was definatlely a red kyte as you could tell from the wings and the tail feathers, it must have only about 30 feet off the ground and it was hovering, amazing to watch the bird change its body/feathers to help it stay in one place is strong wind.
